VERIFY TRAVEL DATES FOR A BOOKING

The 'Verify Traveling Date' function is designed to accurately record the core travel period for your main booking. This involves specifically setting the 'Start Date' and 'End Date' that define the actual duration of the main tour or travel activity.

It's crucial to understand that 'Verify Traveling Date' excludes any pre-tour or post-tour dates. These are considered separate, supplementary periods.

Main Tour Dates: These are the dates during which the primary travel experience or service is provided. For example, if it's a 7-day tour, these dates represent the 7 days of the tour itself.
Pre-Tour Dates: These dates cover any activities or arrangements made before the main tour begins, such as early arrivals, pre-trip orientations, or independent travel before the tour.
Post-Tour Dates: These dates cover any activities or arrangements made after the main tour concludes, such as extended stays, post-trip excursions, or independent travel after the tour.

Therefore, when verifying the traveling date, you are only confirming the dates that directly correspond to the main tour activity, not any associated pre- or post-tour extensions. This ensures accurate tracking and management of the core travel period."

Tour Chain Booking Flow

1. INFORMATION

Primary Task: Define high-level booking parameters and client details.

Key Actions: Enter the booking code, booking name, agency/market source, travel period, booking type (e.g., Leisure/Package), lead passenger info, and select the target selling currency.

2. PAX BREAK

Primary Task: Establish group size ranges and passenger tier structures.

Key Actions: Configure passenger count buckets (e.g., 1-1, 2-2, 3-6,...25-40) and define rooming/occupancy setups so cost and price breakdowns scale accurately across different group sizes. It is strongly recommended to link all group sizes at this stage so that complete rate variations can be accurately passed to and managed within Pax Management based on the exact number of passengers.

3. BUY PRICE

Primary Task: Build the itinerary cost structure by adding supplier's net rates.

Key Actions: Link specific itinerary services, hotels, flights, meals, guides, and miscellaneous fees (e.g., bank fees, water, gifts). System automatically aggregates supplier costs into the total Buy Price (Net Cost).

4. SELL PRICE

Primary Task: Apply markups and margins to establish commercial pricing using either a Markup Direct setup or predefined Markup Schemes.

Key Actions: Set percentage or fixed markups across services/modules, evaluate overall profit margins, and lock in the final Sell Price (Gross Quote) before distributing rates to the Pax Management Tab

5. PAX MANAGEMENT (Key Step of a Booking)

Primary Task: Assign specific traveler identities and passenger policies.

Key Actions: Map individual passengers to roles (Adults, Children, Tour Leaders), apply child discounts or Tour Leader exemptions, and verify final per-person rate adjustments.

6. DESCRIPTION

Primary Task: Apply designated templates to complete and format client-facing itinerary details, logistical notes, and presentation content.

Key Actions: Review and edit service descriptions, logistical notes, day-by-day inclusions/exclusions, and finalize the descriptive text generated on client proposals and itinerary links.
